  We were soooo happy here! We have a 4 yo who eats only plain pasta and a husband who doesnt like raw egg on his cabonara and i have gluten intolerance! But we really wanted Italian and needed to find the fit for us all! I met the owner upon entry to the restaurant and he was so welcoming and accomodating and the food was devine! Also had the chance to taste test the wine and was given choice from some beautiful Italian varietals grown in Vic. An altogether marvellous dining experience! Highly recommend !!

  The most amazing restaurant experience. The food was to die for, the staff were welcoming, friendly and incredibly inviting. We just loved every minute of our time there. We ate there twice because we loved the food and staff so much. Thank you everyone.

  I dropped by this restaurent, at just after 9pm this evening and was pleased to find that the kitchen was still open. The menu is short but excellent .. I chose the linguine with prawns in a tomato garlic and chili sauce, and it was truly delicious. The pasta was perfectly formed and cooked, and the sauce coated each linguine strand with clear clean flavours. And there was a generosity of prawns tossed throughout. Sparkling water to quench the thirst, and a cup of tea to cleanse the palate at the end of this simple meal, made a very nice Thursday dinner. And the service staff were just excellent. Interested but not intrusive and just casual enough to be understated.

  The place is nice and warm. Staffs are helpful. Food was delicious, bit expensive though. Gluten free as well as vegetarian options are available. Plenty outdoor seatings with heating during winter.

  Lygon street is famous for top quality food and Donninis delivered. I came with a friend and we enjoyed two pasta dishes with a garden salad to share. The food was delicious, service friendly and prompt and price reasonable. Highly recommended!
